Godhead is the title track from Nitzer Ebb's 1991 acclaimed album Ebbhead. For those of you have heard the album before it will be one of those Love hate things, personally I still don't know because only a few of the tracks appeal to me I give to you which is one of those tracks that catches you unaware of how brilliant it is, Ascend for the same reasons as before and Godhead which is the perfect Nitzer Ebb track, reminds me a little of Requiem or War Dance by Killing Joke.

Love Song is by all Grrrl band Jack off Jill and was Released as a bonus track on the astounding Clear Hearts Grey Flowers LP. The original version of Love song was by The Cure which in itself was...depressing, but a combination of Jessicka's ear splicing vocals and grinding guitar's makes Jack off Jill's Love Song almost an Anthem. World Party are a project of ex Waterboys member Karl Wallinger. Happiness is A warm Gun appeared on the 1990 album Goodbye Jumbo and an EP (I had the cassette version!) called Thank you world as one of three bonus tracks, and is probably the Best Beatles cover I have ever heard.

World Party's last offering released in 2007 is called Best In Show and features no less than six tracks from the Goodbye Jumbo which I guess was released just remind us all how talented Karl Wallinger actually is.

Wired Is the first track of New Model Army's Latest offering High.

New Model Army will be celebrating 25 years of the release of their first official album Vengeance which was released in 1984, this new style of Punk, Rock, and something much darker, almost poetic some would say, was the soundtrack to many people lives encapsulating peoples disappointment with the government at the time (Thatcher) and the hopes and dreams of others.

Sophia features the unmistakable vocals of Robin Proper-Sheppard from the God Machine. Released in 2004 the Oh My Love single was a minor hit in many European countries.

The track is available on the Sophia's website along with six other free tracks, quite a bounty I would say.

All we ever wanted is by Bauhaus who were heavily influenced in their time by David Bowie, as we all were I even remember at the time going to a Bowie Night at the now defunct Franks in Colne Lancashire. Glory Days eh..?..hmm

Home is taken from the breath taking album by The God Machine called Scenes from the Second Storey.

The thing is even though this track is almost 15 years old it still sounds as fresh as the day it was released and still figures highly on my current playlist as a classic... enjoy.
